The TeleSwivel™ Hitch TechnologyThe innovative TeleSwivel™ technology was invented to make it faster and safer to hook and unhook trailers from their prime mover. The Williams’ team recognized that most of the time it takes to attach a trailer was spent aligning the tow vehicle (with a fixed tow point, usually a pintle hook or ball hitch) with the trailer (another fixed trailering point, usually a lunette ring). Misalignment of as little as one-half of one inch could mean the need for another forward and back alignment attempt. In military operations, soldiers would often try to force the trailer to overcome the misalignment, leading to possible injury. Other scenarios placed soldiers in the “danger zone” between the trailer and prime mover as the tow vehicle backed up. This runs counter to US Army safety protocol. With TeleSwivel technology, you move the hitch, not the vehicle. the tow vehicle and/or the trailer have a tongue that telescopes out about 7 inches from the vehicle and moves about 13” from side to side, providing a target zone that is fifteen times larger than a standard lunette ring. Manufactured from heavy duty steel and thoroughly tested, products based on TeleSwivel technology have been developed for a number of trailer models and prime movers. The TeleSwivel from Williams Innovations, LLC is patented technology that makes connecting or disconnecting trailers faster and safer. Like all Williams products, it is designed to be easy to use, easy to install, and easy to maintain. Protected by US Patents 7195268 and 7293791. TeleSwivel Products:
