M989A1 TeleSwivel™ Lift Assist Kit

Attaching the M989A1 trailer requires 6 soldiers. The tow bar is heavy (which may cause back strains) and could be dropped (leading to serious injury). In addition, the bar is fixed, meaning alignment of the tow vehicle is very time-consuming.

TeleSwivel technology gives drivers and their guide a 15X larger target for the hitch pintle, making alignment easier and faster.

The Lift Assist Kit (LAK) means a single soldier can quickly attach the trailer tongue – the same soldier who guided the prime mover into position, thus reducing the need for four soldiers to hold the tow bar.

The Lift Assist Kit enables 1 soldier to safely raise, lower and position the trailer tongue with full control. Further, the soldier engages the differential lock pin standing beside the trailer, NOT lying under the trailer.

Designed to meet or exceed demanding requirements, the M989A1 TeleSwivel LAK has been proven in extensive testing. The kit is available as a replacement part for existing trailers or as an OEM component for new builds.

The patented Williams M989A1 TeleSwivel Lift Assist Kit provides faster and safer attachment to the tow vehicle. The kit replaces the stock tow bar using the same attachment bolts and is a major improvement in usability. Protected by US Patents 7195268 and 7293791.
